I have recently discovered an invaluable resource at http://www.payscale.com/. The site lets you enter very detailed specifics: the exact wording of a job title, city, industry, experience, qualifications, job responsibilities, number of people managed, etc., then generates a salary range, along with the career profiles on which that salary was based - allowing you to see which most closely relates to your own cisrcumstances.

Of course, if you've built a powerful personal brand then you know you're going to be at the top end of the range :)
